Software Used: Adobe Illustrator | Powerpoint | Adobe Photoshop | Microsoft Word
Deliverables: Brand Refresh | Logo Design | Style Guide | Social Media Strategy | Website Redesign | Content Calendar
As part of a service-based learning class, I worked with a team of four other public communications students to provide the Agriculture, Food, & Human Values Society (AFHVS) with an updated digital identity and strategy. Deliverables included a mini brand identity kit, a logo redesign, recommendations for social media strategy and hiring practices, social media templates, letterhead templates, an email newsletter template, and a mockup of a website redesign for a future web designer.
The Agriculture, Food, and Human Values Society is fundamentally an organization focused on people, food, and farming. They provide an international forum from which to engage in the cross-disciplinary study of food, agriculture, and health. Their annual conference is a place where advancement in these areas can be discussed among professionals. Their work emphasizes the value of people all across the food and agriculture system. As a group of scholars and practitioners, it is their mission to study food system relationships and outcomes across the supply chain. Their members engage in rigorous research, community development, and economic progress. They are employed by a range of academic, government and non-profit institutions.
The deliverables for this project included the development of a digital “Social Media and Communications Guide” that outlines a coherent social media and communications strategy that can later be implemented by the AFHVS staff. They would like a coherent, clear, consistent process that different people can easily learn, adapt, and use.
